|
|
Greetings.
Unfortunately the supplied (and downloadable) documentation is not clear regarding programming of the GSM Stand Alone unit.
I need unambiguous instructions to allow both inputs 1 & 2 (when triggered) to report the following to 1 master number:
(text to be sent in inverted commas)
Input 1 = "External violation"
Input 2 = "Internal violation"
Since a given alarm panel might activate it's programmable outputs for a time period exceeding the 6 second period (as indicated by document GSM_standaloneV1.pdf) how does one reprogram the GSM unit to ignore inputs longer than 6 seconds ?
As a whole, the documentation supplied needs more examples included for clarity.
Thank you,
Wizzard Services. |

Hi Wizzard, can you confirm that you are using a Version 1 GSM unit? Version 1 is currently unsupported and we would recommend upgrading to the Version 2 software which has many additions and features.
In the version 2 software if an input goes high and then low in less than 6 seconds an "Input Triggered" message is sent. If the input is longer, it will send "Input High" message and then a "Input Low" once the input is restored. The "Low" and "High" messages can be set, however the "Triggered" messages can not. |

| We have updated the online manuals for the GSM Gate and Standalone to the current ones shipped with the units. Thank-you for the feedback |

This reply was very useful in understanding why I kept on getting a Trigered sms each time I armed and disarmed my alarm. I find it actually annoying and wasteful to receive these "triggered" smses. Is there a way to disable this feature? |

| Hi Johann, we can look at adding that into the software, do you just want to receive messages if the input goes/stays high, and no messages if it input is pulsed? |
